Port Captains
Port Captains
- A Port Captain is a member of America's Boating Club, who stands ready, at all times of his or her choosing, to provide advice and assistance to members, and if the Port Captain chooses, to others making contact.
- The Port Captain can recommend mechanics, sail makers, and repair yards in the area as well as medical and dental facilities in his or her locale. the Port Captain can also direct weary sailors and boaters to local restaurants and motels.
- The Port Captain is familiar with the activities of local USPS® squadrons, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
- While Port Captains are under no obligation to provide more than friendly advice, they are persons who enjoy meeting people and serving their fellows. Their primary expertise lies in their knowledge of local waters and unmarked hazards to safe navigation. The objective is to provide information, reliable advice and comradeship. Their aim is make fellow members feel they are welcome and have found a friend.

March 23rd - 1800 hrs - Cornerpub (CP Between the Lakes) - Mount Juliet TN 4136 North Mt. Juliet Rd. We will be ordering food from the menu. Our own Tom Hudson will be presenting “Locks and Locking thru”. He has some fresh pictures to share of locking thru the Panama Canal. He and Lili just got back from a cruise thru the PC.

ELECTRICAL SHOCK DROWNING (ESD) BY DIY AC SAFETY TEST FOR BOAT AND DOCK OWNERS. All boat and dock owners must check your AC electrical system for stray current that could cause electrical shock and potential death to swimmers. It could save a life.

America's Boating Club's Vessel Safety Inspectors are eager to inspect your boat anytime during the boating season for FREE. Please request Vessel Safety Inspections via our online request in the Vessel Safety Check tab. A Vessel Safety Inspector will contact you shortly after your request is received.
